Fundamentals of Data Management Workshop
This will be a one week program consisting of lectures and practical exercises. The workshop will be held in Durham, NC USA. The dates for the workshop are:
Monday through Friday, July 29 - August 2, 2013
The training is appropriate for data managers and researchers who plan data management activities for research, design case report forms, create data entry systems, perform data quality checks, generate documentation to support data management activities, and create data sets for statistical analysis.
Specific topics that will be covered include:
- Data management plan
- Data flow
- Case report form design
- Data entry system development, design, data entry screens, programs to generate data queries, reports, testing and validation
- Data cleaning
- Database system validation
- Documentation
